TWO years after it was almost burned down, Daleys Point Quality Child Care centre has been cleaned out by thieves who took everything from stereos and kitchen utensils to Easter eggs.
Staff member Jody Rodgers said yesterday the centre's owners were most of the way through renovations when the bandits struck at the weekend.
``Most of our electrical equipment has been stolen," Mrs Rodgers said.
``They have taken our fridge, a big one-door fridge and freezer, and all the food ... they have picked out which food they wanted."
The thieves took children's CDs, including The Wiggles and the Hooley Dooleys, as well as stereos, cushions, cordless telephones and a new printer/fax machine.
``We hadn't even used the fax machine," Mrs Rodgers said.
``They must have had time to do it.
``We had all these new decorator rugs that they had rolled up ready to go, we think they must have been interrupted or were coming back for a second go but no one has come forward to say: `We saw this dodgy truck being loaded up'."
A new bicycle to be used as a fundraising item to buy new toys was also stolen, she said.
The centre caters for 58 children five days a week.
